Entre Manos y Molde I

Laura Estela Huerta is a Tecate-born designer and artist inspired by everyday life, the land, and the cultural traditions of local Indigenous communities. Working primarily with her hometown’s terracotta clay, she creates pieces that merge materiality with storytelling.

Raised in a creatively driven family, Laura explores the relationship between craft and human experience. She is the Founder and Creative Director of Matiz Estudio, Founder of Eleache Estudio, and a collaborator at Fragmento architecture and design studio. She also lectures at the Escuela Libre de Arquitectura and contributes to community design initiatives such as Tijuana Design Week and Mover la Ciudad.
