NICOLE YOUNG

VANCOUVER

Nicole Young is a Vancouver-based artist working on the traditional, unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Her practice centers on materiality and environmentalism, using pigments made from wild-foraged and natural materials to explore sustainable, waste-free approaches to artmaking.
Working across textiles, natural dyes, and repurposed acrylics, Nicole creates layered, collage-like compositions that merge science, storytelling, and climate justice. Every part of her process, from collecting materials to reusing remnants, reflects her commitment to low-impact creation. Nicole holds a BFA in Visual Arts and Art History from UBC Okanagan, with additional studies at UCLA. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections around the world.
