JEUNG HOON NAM

Los Angeles

Jeung Hoon Nam is a Los Angeles–based ceramic artist known for sculptural vessels covered in thorn-like textures and rhythmic, sharply protruding forms. Though his works appear defensive and impenetrable, they reveal sensitivity and emotional depth, exploring strength shaped by vulnerability. Raised between South Korea and the United States, his practice reflects themes of migration, survival, and adaptation, using clay to express resilience and inner transformation.
