Caro is a handcrafted ceramic studio founded by Los Angeles-based artist and designer Carolina Cortella. Originally from Buenos Aires, Carolina studied Film Direction at Fundación Universidad del Cine before shifting her focus from filmmaking to ceramics. This transition marked a desire to tell stories through form and material, exploring the tactile and physical in contrast to the screen. Her work merges sculpture and function, creating quiet yet expressive pieces that are deeply rooted in organic forms.

Carolina’s practice is influenced by the natural world and its interaction with light, space, and atmosphere. Each hand-built object carries an emotional weight, inviting touch and contemplation. With soft silhouettes and textured surfaces, her ceramics embrace imperfection and evoke a sense of calm and groundedness.
