AUSTIN KAHN

LOS ANGELES

Austin Kahn (b. 1993) is a sculptor working under the name studio studio inc., a practice focused on the creation of objects that explore material memory, ecological consciousness, and the poetics of form. Primarily using salvaged and post-industrial materials, Kahn’s work engages deeply with the histories embedded in discarded matter—examining how cycles of consumption and waste have reshaped our natural and cultural landscapes.
Through sculptural works that range in scale and intention, Kahn seeks to create quiet, contemplative objects that blur the boundary between the industrial and the organic, the manmade and the naturally occurring. His practice reflects on the persistent tension between human desire and environmental consequence, using forgotten materials to give shape to forms that feel unearthed rather than constructed.
